Ayansina Kayode David is a highly experienced Petroleum Engineer with over three decades of technical and leadership experience in the oil and gas industry. He holds a First Class degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Ibadan and a National Diploma in Mining Engineering. He brings extensive expertise in reservoir engineering, production optimization, field development, and upstream operations.

He joined Matrix Energy Limited in May 2025 as the Head of Exploration and Production (Upstream), where he is responsible for driving the Group’s upstream strategy, overseeing exploration and production activities, and ensuring optimal asset performance and reserves growth.

Prior to joining Matrix Energy, he held senior leadership roles at organizations including Conoil Producing Limited and Texaco Overseas Producing Unlimited, where he led petroleum engineering and production teams, managed field development initiatives, and played key roles in reservoir evaluation, drilling operations, and production optimization. He has also been actively involved in strategic planning, technical evaluations, and stakeholder engagement across multiple upstream projects.
