
Rianat Hassan-Abdullahi
Chief Financial Officer
Rianat is a seasoned finance executive with over 13 years of progressive experience in financial management, corporate finance, treasury, taxation, budgeting, performance management, and strategic business partnering within Nigeria’s energy sector.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance (Second Class Upper Division) and a Master’s degree in Finance from the University of Lagos. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), and a Certified Financial Controller (CFC).
Rianat began her career at Matrix Energy as an Internal Control Officer, where she developed a strong foundation in governance, internal controls, risk management, and financial systems. She subsequently transitioned into the Finance and Accounts function, steadily progressing through increasingly senior leadership roles before being appointed Group Chief Financial Officer.
As Group CFO, she provides strategic financial leadership across the Group’s diverse business portfolio. She oversees financial planning and analysis, treasury and liquidity management, financial reporting, taxation, budgeting, performance management, and capital allocation while partnering with executive management to drive sustainable growth, operational efficiency, and long-term shareholder value. She also plays a key role in strengthening governance frameworks, enhancing financial controls, and supporting strategic investment and financing decisions.
Known for combining technical excellence with commercial acumen, Rianat has led numerous initiatives that have strengthened financial discipline, improved decision-making, optimized working capital, and enhanced business performance across multiple operating companies.
